From followers to enquiries: a simple path that works

How to turn followers into enquiries: a clear bio, one focused page, an offer worth asking about, fast replies, retargeting and follow-up.

A large following does not pay the bills by itself. Many accounts have people who like every post and never get in touch. Usually the content is not the problem; the path is. The next step is unclear, or it takes too much effort. Here is a simple path from follower to enquiry.

Make the bio say what to do next

A visitor to your profile should understand in seconds what you do, for whom and where. End the bio with one clear call to action, such as "Message us for a quote". Link to one focused page with the offer, prices or a booking form, not to the home page or a long list of links. Fewer choices make the decision easier.

Give people a reason to ask

An enquiry needs a reason, and "contact us" is rarely enough. Offer something specific and low-risk: a price guide, a free measurement visit, a trial session. Explain it in one sentence, mention it regularly in posts and Stories, and pin a post about it.

Reply quickly on WhatsApp and in messages

When someone writes, they may well be asking other businesses too. A reply on the same working day keeps you in the conversation. Set up quick replies for common questions about prices, availability and location, plus a greeting and an away message in WhatsApp Business. Answer the question first, then suggest one next step: a call, a visit or a booking.

Remind people who already showed interest

Many people do not get in touch the first time they see you. Retargeting ads show your offer again to people who have already engaged: they watched your videos, visited your profile or opened your website. On Meta you can build these audiences from Instagram and Facebook activity. They are small and already know you, so even a modest budget can reach them several times. Keep the message simple: the offer and one clear action.

Follow up without pushing

Enquiries often go quiet after the first reply, and that does not always mean no. Keep a simple list of everyone who asked, with the date and what they wanted. If there is no answer after a few days, send one short, useful message, such as a reminder of the offer or a free slot this week. One or two follow-ups are enough.

What to do next

Walk the path as a customer would: open your profile, tap the link, send a message and see how long the answer takes. Fix the weakest step first. If you would like help building the whole path, from the bio to the retargeting ads, MB Media House is happy to talk it through.
